Two people were taken to the hospital following a freeway wreck on Thursday.

A report from Oregon State Police said just after 7:30 p.m. a northbound sedan attempted to merge at the beginning of a single lane construction zone near Clarks Branch exit. The sedan struck the back of a construction vehicle that had its overhead directional arrows illuminated.

The report said the sedan crossed both lanes and came to an uncontrolled rest on the right shoulder. Both occupants of that vehicle were transported for evaluation.
