Douglas County Master Gardeners are offering soil testing to gardeners.
Volunteer Cheryl Caplan said soil tests require one cup of dry soil in a clean jar or Ziplock bag. For each sample submitted, include a $20 check made out to DCMG. Those submitting samples should include their name, address and phone number. More than one sample can be submitted. Samples can be dropped off at the OSU Extension Office next to the Douglas County Courthouse, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays.
Caplan said the Douglas County Master Gardeners program offers free gardening advice, information through outreach events and an annual plant sale, which is not being held during the pandemic.
