In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts has an outdoor musical opening on Friday.

Theatre Director Dr. Christina Allaback said “Arena Gorn Superstar”, a Star Trek musical based on the episode “Arena” will feature original music by UCC Director of Music, Dr. Jason Heald. Allaback said it will be outdoors, live and socially distanced and presented on the stage outside of Umpqua Valley Arts on West Harvard in Roseburg.

Shows will be Friday and Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. this week and next and on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 a person. Reserve tickets by going to: https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/52494
