Two people were arrested following a police chase on Saturday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 1:20 p.m. a deputy was following a vehicle in the 3100 block of Upper Cow Creek Road believing that Tyler Thierjung was the passenger and knowing that there was probable cause to detain him. 24-year old Brandon Holsten was the driver.

Holsten pulled up a driveway in the 3000 block of the road, attempting to ditch the deputy. The suspect then drove into a field, did a “donut” and then took off back out of the driveway. A short pursuit ensued before Holsten came to an abrupt stop in the 2000 block. Other deputies arrived and both men were taken into custody.

Holsten was charged with attempting to elude a police officer and for obstructing government administration. After arraignment, bail was set at $3,000. Thierjung was taken into custody for a warrant out of Florida. He was held without bail
