Roseburg Police are investigating a fire that took place under the Washington Street Bridge, on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at about 2:40 p.m. officers noticed large billowing smoke and found that a grass fire had been started with a pile of sticks. Nearby they seized a gas can that had clearly been used to start the fire. The fire was extinguished by the Roseburg Fire Department, before it can uphill.
