Washington state man was arrested following an alleged trespass incident on Friday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 3:20 p.m. deputies were sent to a possible medical aid call in the 7400 block of Old Highway 99 North in the Wilbur area. The 32-year old man said his vehicle had broken down, but there were no medical issues. The report said the man was acting suspicious.
The owner of the property wanted the vehicle moved because he could not close the gate to his business, so it was towed as a hazard. The report said the suspect was given multiple opportunities to leave the property but refused to do so. The property owner wanted the man to be charged with trespass. Deputies attempted to take the man into custody, but he pulled away and resisted. After a brief struggle he was eventually detained.
Charges included second degree trespass and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $7,500.
