Just over 5 percent of ballots have been turned in, in Douglas County’s Special Districts Election.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said that is 4,452 ballots, which is nearly two and a half percent ahead of the participation rate for the same point in the 2019 Special Districts Election.

Loomis said a drive-up ballot box upgrade has taken place in Myrtle Creek. That box is still in front of Myrtle Creek City Hall.

Ballots for the Special Districts Election must be turned in by May 18th at 8:00 p.m.
