Ballots are starting to come in for this year’s Special Districts Election.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said as of late Tuesday, 2,010 ballots had been returned, which is close to 2.5 percent of those registered to vote.

Loomis said the county has 69 Special Districts, plus 10 which are shared with other counties. Loomis said voters who are unsure oh how many different districts they are in, should take a look at their annual property tax statement.

May 18th is the deadline for returning ballots in the Special Districts Election.
