Wednesday night the Roseburg School Board approved a three-year contract with the Roseburg Education Association.

Superintendent Jared Cordon said the collective bargaining agreement was ratified last week by the district’s licensed group. Cordon said it calls for cost-of-living adjustments of 4 percent in year one, 3 percent in year two and 2 percent in year three. It goes into effect July 1st.

Cordon said, “We are always extremely grateful for the work our teachers do for our students and families, this year but, our educators have gone far beyond the call of duty in their service to children”. He said their dedication has allowed students to continue learning, growing and succeeding in old ways and new. Cordon said, “The district is grateful for our ongoing positive relationship with our licensed staff”.

Cordon also thanked Board Chair Rebecca Larson, Vice-Chair Rev. Howard Johnson and Director Charles Lee for their participation on the Board Licensed Bargaining Committee.
