A Tenmile man was jailed and drugs were allegedly found, during a traffic stop on Tuesday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at approximately 1:40 p.m. a deputy responded to the 300 block of Richardson Road in Myrtle Creek, for a disturbance. A resident claimed that 45-year old Stephen Schuster had rammed her vehicle with his and then fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle was spotted traveling westbound on Clarks Branch Road. It was stopped and Shuster was detained. A records check showed the man was driving while suspended. The report said the suspect had 3.5 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. An additional 24.5 grams of meth were allegedly located inside the vehicle. A further investigation determined that no crime had occurred prior to the traffic stop.

Shuster was charged with a felony count of driving while suspended, a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of a meth and for the warrant.

He was detained without bail.
