Crews from the Douglas Forest Protective Association are on the scene of a natural cover fire located approximately four miles north of Tiller, as of Tuesday afternoon.

Kyle Reed of DFPA said the fire is estimated to be 70 acres in size. Reed said no homes are threatened by the fire. Additional resources have been ordered to assist with suppression efforts.

More information regarding the Marshall’s Place Fire will be released as it becomes available. Reed said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
