A Roseburg man was hospitalized after his vehicle hit a deer on Sunday night.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at just before 7:00 p.m. the 65-year’s motorcycle struck the animal near the intersection of Colonial Road and Carlton Lane near Roseburg.

The rider was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he is listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.
