A Roseburg man was jailed for a reported assault on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 7:15 a.m. 33-year old Justin Johnson went to the victim’s RV in the 800 block of Northwest Highland and attempted to get inside it. A fight ensued and the suspect allegedly hit the victim multiple times, causing a large laceration around his eye.

The report said the victim did not know the suspect at all. Johnson was charged with fourth-degree assault and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750.
