Based on Tuesday’s recommendation by federal officials and out of an abundance of caution, Aviva Health is pausing the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

A release said Aviva will continue to offer the Moderna and Phizer vaccines throughout Douglas County as neither of those vaccines are associated with the recent announcement.

For people who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine within the past three weeks, they should contact their health care provider if they develop severe headaches, abdominal pain, leg pain, or shortness of breath.
