There is a case of COVID-19 at Hucrest Elementary School.
Superintendent Jared Cordon of Roseburg Public Schools said the district received confirmation from the Douglas Public Health Network on Sunday. Cordon said at this time individuals who need to quarantine have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.
Cordon said the district continues to maintain safety protocols and guidelines established by the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health Authority. At this time, DPHN has not reported evidence of community spread in the district’s schools.
