The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming Special Districts Election is approaching.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said for residents who are U.S. citizens and have a driver’s license, permit or Department of Motor Vehicles issued identification card, they can register on-line at the Oregon Secretary of State’s website: https://sos.oregon.gov/voting/Pages/registration.aspx?lang=en

Loomis said the same link can be used to check registration status, change address, or to change political parties. Oregon Voter Registration Cards can also be picked up at the election’s office inside the courthouse, or at the post office.

The deadline is April 27th.
