A Roseburg man was jailed on multiple charges following an alleged trespass incident on Wednesday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 8:30 p.m. 31-year old Preston Torguson allegedly committed a shop-lift at the D.C. Farmers Co-op after being previously trespassed. The man was also known to have a warrant for his arrest. The man fled the scene on a bicycle and ran through a backyard on Northeast Clover.
The report said that officers initiated a foot pursuit through several backyards. The suspect was eventually tased and taken into custody after fighting with officers.
Charges include interfering with a police officer, resisting arrest, first degree criminal trespass, second degree counts of escape, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, third degree counts of theft and criminal mischief, and for the warrant.
Bail was set at $101,250.
