Thursday is the deadline to file for seats in the Special Districts Election.

A release from Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said there are over 200 positions open for filing. That includes school boards, fire districts, water districts, sanitary districts, park and recreation districts and many others. Most terms on Special District board positions are for four years.
