Governor Kate Brown has submitted a list of state board and commission appointments for confirmation by the Oregon Senate.

Twelve people were named for positions on nine different boards or commissions. That includes one Douglas County resident. Angela Powell from Mercy Medical Center was selected to complete a term on the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Brown said “State board and commission members bring a diverse set of backgrounds and life experiences to address a wide range of issues facing state government”. She said their contributions help lead to policies and strategies “…that better enable us to service and represent all Oregonians”.
