Two people were taken to the hospital, after a vehicle went over an embankment on Friday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 6:40 a.m. a 20-year old Myrtle Creek man was driving in the 32,000 block of Tiller Trail Highway when his vehicle went over a 75 to 100-foot embankment. The driver sustained a herniated disc, a large laceration on his back and a dislocated shoulder. The passenger, a 19-year old woman from Tiller was sore but had no visible injuries. Both were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.

A lengthy process was needed by a tow company to get the vehicle pulled back to the road.
