A Roseburg man was jailed after reportedly stealing a license plate on Friday.

Information from Roseburg Police said at 11:00 a.m. a caller reported the man taken the plate off a vehicle in the Albertson’s parking lot. The 33-year old was located walking on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. He was detained in hand cuffs after allegedly being found still in possession of the license plate.

The suspect was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft.  Bail was set at $7,500.
