Roseburg Police recovered two stolen vehicles on Thursday, in unconnected incidents.

An RPD report said just before 12:30 p.m. a resident on the east end of Klamath called in to say a suspicious vehicle had been parked nearby for at least a week. A records check revealed the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle contained tens of thousands of dollars in stolen tools and hydraulic hoses, which all appeared to have been untouched by the suspects. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop as it appeared the ignition had been damaged during the theft.

At about 6:20 p.m. officers responded to a reported theft of a car from a store in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens. The vehicle was recovered approximately an hour later from a parking lot of a business in the 2400 block of West Harvard. The vehicle was released to its owner.
