A Roseburg man was cited for theft and other charges, and had to disassemble a deck at his home, on Thursday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 1:00 p.m. an officer saw James Geisler leaving the Mt. Nebo trailer park on Northeast Stephens, knowing that he was driving while suspended and was a suspect in recent lumber thefts from a business.
The report said the officer stopped the 37- year old who admitted to numerous thefts from the business. Geisler took the officer back to his residence where he had built a new deck with the wood. The officer had the man taken the deck apart so the wood could be returned to the business.
Geisler was charged with two counts of first-degree theft, second-degree theft, driving uninsured and driving while suspended. He was released after the citation was issued.
The report said that not all the stolen wood was recovered.
