Three Reedsport residents were recently arrested in a stolen property and drug case.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on Saturday February 20th deputies assigned to Dunes Patrol took a report that a vehicle had been broken into at the 2nd Beach parking lot in Winchester Bay. O’Dell said similar reports had been received over the previous week.
During an investigation, deputies received information on a suspect vehicle and were able to locate it at a residence in the 400 block of Camellia Court in Reedsport. Once there, two suspects, 30-year old Douglas Grable and 34-year old Ashley Shaw were taken into custody and some stolen property was recovered.
O’Dell said it was further learned that some of the property had allegedly been sold for drugs. Deputies contacted 41-year old David Taylor and took him into custody for possessing stolen property. In addition, Taylor was reportedly found in possession of 14.2 grams of methamphetamine and 1.2 grams of heroin.
Grable was charged with three counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, two counts of first-degree theft, three counts of second-degree criminal mischief, two counts of driving while suspended and for conspiracy. After arraignment, he was detained on $10,000 bail.
Shaw was held for three counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, two counts of first- degree theft, three counts of second-degree criminal mischief and for conspiracy. She was released on February 22nd.
Taylor was charged with possession of stolen property in the first degree, and for unlawful delivery of both methamphetamine and heroin. After arraignment, he was held on $10,000 bail.
Information in the case was released on Friday.
