A 36-year old man was jailed, charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, on Wednesday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 4:40 p.m. Kyle Woody was contacted regarding multiple cases. A search of his vehicle revealed a handgun. A records check indicated that the man is prohibited of possessing firearms.

Additional charges of first degree counts of burglary and theft and for two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle were later added.

Bail was set at $450,000.
