3 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 IN ROSEBURG PUBLIC SCHOOLS

There are 3 new cases of COVID-19 in Roseburg Public Schools.

Superintendent Jared Cordon said on Wednesday the district received confirmation from the Douglas Public Health Network of separate positive COVID-19 cases at three schools. Cordon said that’s 1 case each at Joseph Lane Middle School, Sunnyslope Elementary and Winchester Elementary. Cordon said the district is working closely with DPHN to respond to the news and protect the health of the school community.

Individuals who need to quarantine have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.

Students who are in quarantine will transition temporarily to remote learning. School staff will be in touch with families to provide technology devices.
