A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until 10:00 a.m. Friday above 4,500 feet for the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 5 to 10 inches of snow is expected with winds gusting as high as 45 miles per hour.

The Advisory area includes highways 62, 230 and 138 near Crater Lake and Diamond Lake as well as Highway 40 near Lake of the Woods.

Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility at times.
