There is a case of COVID-19 at Fir Grove Elementary School in Roseburg.
Superintendent Jared Cordon of Roseburg Public Schools said the district was notified on Tuesday night by the Douglas Public Health Network that an individual at the school has tested positive for COVID-19. Cordon said the district is working closely with DPHN to respond to the news and protect the health of the school community.
At this time, the individuals who need to quarantine have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.
Students who are in quarantine will transition temporarily to remote learning. School staff will provide families with technology devices.
