NEW CASE OF COVID-19 AT SOUTH UMPQUA HIGH SCHOOL

1 student at South Umpqua High School has tested positive for COVID-19.

Superintendent Kate McLaughlin of the South Umpqua School District said they are working closely with the Douglas Public Health Network to respond to the situation and protect the health of the community.

McLaughlin said staff, and parents of the children in the cohort who were direct contacts have been contacted and asked to quarantine and monitor for symptoms. Updates with any new information will be provided as it becomes available.
