Roseburg Police cited a man in connection with a theft incident on Thursday.
An RPD report said at about 1:30 a.m. the 39-year old was contacted in the 1600 block of Northwest Hopper after officers developed information that he was in possession of a boat motor that had previously been stolen. He was accused of altering its appearance to prevent it from being discovered as stolen.
A search warrant was served, the stolen motor was recovered, and the suspect was cited for a first-degree count of theft – by receiving. He was released after the citation was issued.
