Roseburg Police cited a man for driving while suspended following an incident at a store on Tuesday night.

A report from Roseburg Police said at about 10:45 p.m. officers were called to Fred Meyer on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard for a trespassing call involving a 36-year old man, who had his car in the parking lot. The report said the suspect was specifically told he could not drive due to his license being misdemeanor suspended.

The report said within a minute of officers leaving the scene, the man ran at full speed from the sidewalk to his car, and drove onto Garden Valley. He was stopped a short distance away and his car was impounded.

He was released after the citation was issued.
