COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,930, as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 750 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 140,783. The new cases include:
*174 in Multnomah County
*90 in Marion County
*73 in Washington County
*72 in Lane County
*62 in Clackamas County
*37 in Deschutes County
*26 in Coos County
*25 in Jackson County
*24 in Umatilla County
*22 in Josephine County
*20 in Douglas County
*16 in Klamath County
*15 in Benton County
*12 each in Linn, Polk, Wasco and Yamhill counties
*8 in Malheur County
*6 each in Clatsop and Lincoln counties
*5 in Hood River County
*4 each in Columbia and Jefferson counties
*3 in Lake and Union counties
*2 each in Crook, Harney and Morrow counties
*1 in Tillamook County
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 291, which is 11 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 72 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Wednesday.
OHA reported that 19,010 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 12,292 doses were administered on Wednesday. 6,718 doses were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 359,370 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 606,725 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
