A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 10:00 a.m. Thursday above 2,000 feet for parts of central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said periods of snow are expected above, 2,000 feet, except also near Camas Mountain. New snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are forecast.
The Advisory area includes Azalea and Tiller, and portions of Interstate Five including the Smith, Stage and Canyon Creek passes. Also included is Camas Mountain on Highway 42 and a portion of route 227 near Tiller.
Forecasters said slushy, snow covered roads will cause difficult and hazardous travel. This will impact commuters. Wet roads could turn icy.
