Drivers in southern Oregon have faced some challenging road conditions since Tuesday evening.
According to staff with the Oregon Department of Transportation, Interstate Five between Glendale and Hugo is open with full chain requirements for vehicles over 10,000 GVW, and those towing. The freeway was closed north of Grants Pass for three hours Tuesday night to clear jackknifed trucks and other vehicles.
An eleven mile stretch of Interstate Five south of Ashland has a full chain requirement for all vehicles, except 4x4s unless towing.
Drivers should carry tire chains if traveling on Interstate Five between Canyon Mountain Pass to just north of Grants Pass.
Those traveling should monitor www.tripcheck.com for the latest updates on road conditions around Oregon.
