COVID-19 HAS CLAIMED 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOTAL AT 1,882, AS MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,882, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 435 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID, bringing the state total to 138,587. The new cases include:

*105 in Multnomah County

*50 in Washington County

*48 in Marion County

*46 in Clackamas County

*36 in Lane County

*25 in Jackson County

*21 in Deschutes County

*20 in Umatilla County

*12 in Douglas County

*11 in Coos County

*10 in Josephine County

*9 in Yamhill County

*7 in Linn County

*6 each in Polk and Wasco counties

*5 in Lincoln County

*4 each in Benton and Lake counties

*3 in Union County

*1 each in Baker, Columbia, Crook, Harney, Hood River, Morrow and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 81 to 90. 1 each lived in Linn and Yamhill counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 320, which is 10 fewer than on Sunday. There are 75 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 5 fewer than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 7,930 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 6,182 doses were administered on Sunday. 1,208 doses were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 308,051 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 492,450 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
