A Winter Weather Advisory Weather for parts of central Douglas County is in effect for early Sunday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Advisory is for areas above 1,500 feet between 4:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. 1 to 4 inches of snow is expected.

The Advisory area includes Tiller, areas south of Canyonville including Azalea, Interstate Five near Canyon Mountain Pass, and areas above 1,500 feet in central Douglas County.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult with slick and snow-covered roadways. Periods of light snow or a rain-snow mix are possible down to the lower valley floor at times Sunday morning and again on Sunday night.
