COVID-19 CLAIMS 41 MORE LIVES, STATE’S DEATH TOLL TO 1,799, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 claims 41 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,799 as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,173 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 bringing the state total to 132,412. The new cases include:

*216 in Multnomah County

*125 in Washington County

*117 in Marion County

*95 in Lane County

*75 in Clackamas County

*70 in Umatilla County

*62 in Deschutes County

*56 each in Jackson and Klamath counties

*37 in Linn County

*27 in Benton County

*23 each in Polk and Yamhill counties

*20 in Crook County

*18 each in Columbia and Josephine counties

*16 in Douglas County

*15 in Baker County

*14 in Hood River County

*12 each in Lincoln, Jefferson and Wasco counties

*9 in Union County

*8 each in Clatsop and Malheur counties

*7 in Coos County

*5 each in Harney and Tillamook counties

*2 in Wallowa County

*1 each in Curry, Gilliam, Lake, and Wheeler counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 32 to 100.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients across Oregon is 365, which is 22 fewer than Friday. There are 92 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 5 fewer than on Friday.

OHA reported 16,117 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 11,332 vaccine doses were administered on Friday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 189,190 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
