The Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team is detailing available information about vaccine distribution in this area.

A release said local Public Health officials received 500 more doses of the vaccine on Thursday. Those were distributed to approved local public health care providers for immediate vaccination of eligible residents. That is in accordance with priority group guidelines and criteria set by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Oregon Health Authority. Right now, those eligible to be vaccinated are in priority group 1A. A link to the most up-to-date information on who is eligible is posted: https://covidvaccine.oregon.gov/

DCCRT said the supply chain of vaccines has not caught up with the demand and staff continues to submit requests to OHA for more vaccine doses to be sent to Douglas County.

DCCRT has set up a new address for those with questions about COVID-19 vaccines in the county. This is for inquiries from residents, businesses, health care workers, medical offices and those who want to want to volunteer to help. That address is: vaccines@douglaspublichealthnetwork.org.
