COVID-19 has claimed 10 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,568, as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 867 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 121,085. The new cases include:
*159 in Umatilla County
*134 in Marion County
*76 in Lane County
*71 in Jackson County
*44 each in Clackamas and Deschutes counties
*34 in Yamhill County
*33 each in Linn and Washington counties
*30 in Benton County
*27 in Polk County
*20 in Jefferson County
*17 each in Malheur and Multnomah counties
*15 in Crook County
*14 each in Douglas and Union counties
*10 in Hood River, Lake and Sherman counties
*9 in Wasco County
*7 each in Coos, Lincoln and Tillamook counties
*5 in Josephine County
*3 each in Baker, Grant, Harney and Morrow counties
*2 in Wallowa County
*1 each in Clatsop, Columbia, and Curry counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 56 to 88. 2 each lived in Josephine and Washington counties. 1 each lived in Marion, Tillamook, Umatilla, Yamhill, and Linn counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 462, which is 18 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 91 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 29 fewer than on Wednesday.
On Thursday, OHA recorded 5,249 doses of vaccine administered – including 995 second doses – raising the state’s total number of doses administered to 66,920. That figure is based on preliminary reports of 3,429 doses administered on Wednesday, as well as 1,820 doses administered on prior days
