A single vehicle wreck took place Monday afternoon, when the driver left the 2000 block of Roberts Creek Road.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 1:30 p.m. the 61-year old said he looked down at some mail in the vehicle’s center console and then crashed into the opposing ditch after damaging three mailboxes. The report said the driver had a slight cut to his left leg and a minor child in the vehicle had minor injuries as well. Medical treatment was declined. Insurance information was provided to the owners of the mailboxes.
The sedan had to be towed from the scene.
