An injury accident Friday was tied to a driver eating a sandwich.

A report from Oregon State Police said just after 7:00 a.m. a 20-year old man was driving west on Highway 138W near Tyee Road in the Oakland area. The driver said while he was eating, he drove off the road then tried to make a correction, causing his sedan to travel into a ditch. Moderate injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained major damage and had to be towed from the scene.
