January 3, 2020 1:20 p.m.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 1:00 p.m. Monday for southern Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 miles per hour are expected. The highest and most exposed terrain on the Coast Range may see gusts up to 70 miles per hour on Sunday night.

The Advisory area also includes Josephine County and eastern Curry County, along with Glendale, Azalea and the Sexton pass on Interstate Five.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
