One more Douglas County resident has died of COVID-19, as of Friday.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 40th death is a 95-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID and passed away on December 31st.
An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said 34 more people have received new positive test results, and there is 1 new presumptive case. Dannenhoffer said the uptick includes cases tied to holiday gatherings and church services, among other situations
The total number of cases is now at 1,429. Of those, 1,348 are people that have received positive test results and 81 are presumptive. 6 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 5 locally and 1 outside the area. 101 people are in isolation, 175 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 276 people that are either in isolation or quarantine.
The next drive through testing clinic with DPHN will be Tuesday in Roseburg.
