County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 39th death is a 72-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID on November 20th and passed away on December 29th.
Dannenhoffer said while the pandemic remains very active throughout the world, including in the United States, it has been relatively quiet in Oregon, and even more so in Douglas County. Dannenhoffer said he believes that as of Tuesday, “…Douglas County had the lowest rate of infection for a county over 100,000 population in the entire country”.
