A Roseburg woman was jailed on 20 charges following an alleged incident on Monday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 12:45 p.m. 40-year old Hope Shaw was reportedly causing a disturbance at Anderson Market on West Harvard. Officers contacted Shaw and determined that she had multiple warrants out for her arrest from Douglas County Circuit Court, Roseburg Municipal Court and the Albany Police Department.
The News Review is reporting that some of the charges were the result of an incident in April of 2019 when the suspect allegedly entered Roseburg High School after hours and stole a backpack from a custodial closet which contained a pistol and loaded magazines. Shaw allegedly left one of the magazines in a booth at Denny’s and then dropped the pistol and one of the magazines off the side of the Washington Street Bridge, into the South Umpqua River.
Shaw was detained on $357,500 bail.
