MAN CITED AFTER VEHICLE GOES THROUGH FENCE

A Roseburg man was cited after a vehicle went through a fence on Monday night.

Information from Roseburg Police said at about 9:15 p.m. a 34-year old man drove his vehicle through the north end of the chain link fence at the Roseburg Regional Airport, off of Edenbower Boulevard. The report said after the vehicle went through the fence, the man continued driving and ended up down an embankment in the middle of the field, approximately 300 feet from the fence line.

The report said the man was visibly impaired and was cited for DUII alcohol, second degree criminal mischief, refusal to provide a breath sample, and for failure to install an ignition interlock device.

The man was released after the citations were issued. Two tow trucks and two extra people were needed to get the vehicle away from where it ended up.
