A Roseburg man was cited regarding theft cases on Tuesday.

A report from Roseburg Police said at about 7:45 p.m. 30-year old Preston Torguson was contacted at Auto Zone on Northeast Stephens in regards to a past theft case. The report said once the man was detained on that case, he was allegedly found to have stolen items from the business in his pockets. Stolen items from a past theft case were reportedly recovered from his vehicle.

The report said another officer also had probable cause to charge him with crimes from another case.

Torguson was cited for second and third-degree theft, attempt to elude in a vehicle and for failure to perform the duties of a driver. He was released after the citation was issued.
