Roseburg High School agriscience educator Angela Chenoweth is one of 38 teachers nationwide to be awarded a CASE Implementation Grant sponsored by Corteca Agriscience.
A release from CASE said the grant will allow Chenoweth to purchase equipment and supplies for the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) course in the RHS agricultural program.
The release said CASE is an instructional program that is changing the culture of agricultural programs in the United States, through intense teacher professional development, inquiry-based, student-focused lessons, assessment and certification. The release said teachers are able to elevate student experiences in the agriculture classroom, and prepare students for success in college and careers that emphasize science, technology, engineering and math.
