In an unprecedented effort to send every single animal in the shelter home for the holidays, Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center will host a Home for the Holidays event on Saturday and Sunday.

Executive Director Megan Gram said during the weekend all dog adoptions will be $25, while all cat adoptions will be $10. Gram said all animals that are not adopted during the event, will go to a foster home so that every animal will be in a home for Christmas.

Gram said promotions like this serve to raise awareness and help find new adopters.

Everyone who adopts a pet from Saving Grace must first fill out an application, which helps the staff find “the perfect match” for both the pet and the adopter. Things like size, breed, special medical considerations, and activity level must all be considered when finding the perfect match, according to Rachael Daniels, Dog Team Manager for Saving Grace.
