COVID-19 CLAIMS 6 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,155 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,155 as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,048 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state case total to 93,853. The new cases include:

*172 in Multnomah County

*150 in Marion County

*112 in Clackamas County

*108 in Washington County

*90 in Jackson County

*88 in Lane County

*39 in Deschutes County

*36 in Umatilla County

*28 in Klamath County

*21 in Benton County

*20 in Douglas County

*17 each in Jefferson and Yamhill counties

*15 each in Columbia and Polk counties

*14 in Curry County

*13 in Hood River County

*12 in Lincoln County

*11 each in Coos and Josephine counties

*9 in Wasco County

*7 in Crook County

*4 each in Baker, Malheur and Morrow counties

*3 in Clatsop

*2 in Union County

*1 each in Lake and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 74 to 98. 2 lived in Washington County. 1 each lived in Jackson, Josephine, Linn and Marion counties.

OHA said on December 7th it reported the death of a 77-year old Linn County woman who tested positive on November 20th. The woman has not died and the number of COVID-19 deaths has been adjusted to accommodate that error.

The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 535, which is 12 fewer than Saturday. There are 125 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 6 fewer than on Saturday.
